“Muay Thai is my lifestyle, my life goal, and something that pushes me to prove what I’m made of.”

Kuala Lumpur——A long trip from northern Asia has brought one dedicated Muay Thai athlete to Kuala Lumpur for the 2026 IFMA World Championships. Our team caught up with him between training sessions to hear his honest thoughts on the sport, past losses and his upcoming outdoor rainy match. He shared that what drew him to Muay Thai at first was its unique balance of skill and sportsmanship. All fighters treat each other with respect, and this culture has shaped how he carries himself day-to-day.

Muay Thai is no longer just training for him; it’s how he lives. He stressed that chasing a world title leaves no room for laziness or excuses—athletes must commit fully every single day. The fighter has experienced four painful losses over his competitive career. Each defeat left him upset, yet he never lets those moments break his focus. Instead, he uses every loss to spot his weak points and improve ahead of future competitions.

With his next fight set to happen in the rain against a powerful rival, many would feel nervous about the difficult conditions. He, however, sees the tough scenario as a valuable chance to test his limits. He plans to give his maximum effort during the bout, and accept whatever final result comes his way.

At the competition

When asked to define Muay Thai’s place in his life, he explained it acts as both a lifelong target and a personal test of resilience. In his view, everyone should hold onto one passion and stick with it through hard times. No matter how many matches he loses, he keeps pushing himself to get better. To this international athlete, the ring is far more than a competition space—it is where he grows, learns humility and stays true to himself.
