Kuala Lumpur – Mr. Li has served as the director of a local orphanage for more than ten years, devoting all his energy to bringing hope to vulnerable children. His daily schedule follows a fixed, busy routine. Every morning, the children get up at six o’clock sharp. He cooks breakfast for them personally and sends every child to school safely before handling other institutional work.

Working with orphaned children requires sincere kindness from every staff member. Caring for these kids means giving up plenty of personal time and personal interests. Without wholehearted dedication, no one can stick to this tough job for long.

“Love makes personal gains unimportant, and persistence is necessary to light up children’s future,” Mr. Li shared his core mindset after over a decade of service.

Mr. Li chose this career voluntarily, so he never complains about tiredness or hardship. He admits he gains no material rewards from raising these children, yet he feels strong satisfaction when his students achieve good grades and behave with good morals. When the children turn eighteen and pass college entrance exams, the orphanage covers all their university fees.

“Education must never be neglected due to poverty,” Mr. Li stressed when talking about the orphanage’s full university sponsorship policy.

The orphanage launches work-study programs to let teenagers value learning opportunities, and the team takes full charge of their exam preparation and academic support.

“Work-study is not just a way to earn pocket money; it teaches teens to respect every chance to study,” he explained the purpose of the programme.

“I wish all my kids could stay gentle and tough no matter what difficulties they meet in society,” Mr. Li expressed his long-term expectation for the orphanage graduates.
